re:public

Date: August 2023

Duration: 1 week

Role: Graphic Design

The re:public brand was a project that was initiated when I participated in the European Innovation Academy – a 3 week study abroad entrepreneurship accelerator program where individuals from different universities around the world came together and formed teams under a business project idea and pitched to investors. The business idea my team had was based on my capstone project re:public. The product was a type of reusable packaging which is available to the public. It promotes participatory product experiences where everyone is encouraged to play a part in the in the reuse and distribution of waste – paving the way for more democratic practices in waste management. The re:public brand was created to complement our business model and product. The re:public brand logo is a modern reimagining of the classic recycling symbol—a triangle formed by three arrows that represent the foundational principles of sustainability: reduce, reuse, and recycle. While the traditional icon emphasizes the technical cycle of waste management, re:public introduces a fourth arrow to signify something more profound: the public loop.
